DCC Community Dance offers workshops, classes and showcases produced by DCC and open to the public, featuring a wide array of Caribbean influenced dance styles.
Diaspora Dance Series
The DIASPORA DANCE SERIES (a series of dance classes) at Brooklyn Studios for Dance runs every other Thursday (starting April 13th, 2017) at 6:30pm from April to June and features Caribbean Dance forms from instructors working in our community and sharing our culture.

Community Caribbean Masterclass
The Community Caribbean Masterclass at Brooklyn College is open to all levels of dance experience, celebrates Haitian Flag Day. Come join two expert teachers from Dance Caribbean COLLECTIVE – Maxine Montilus and Kanu Dance Theater as they share Haitian folkloric dance in their own special style. (FREE)

The Film night at Brooklyn Studios for Dance in collaboration with Caribbean Film Academy will feature Julia & Joyce: Two Stories of Two Dance Pioneers” by Sonja Dumas. The film tells the stories of Julia Edwards (known for popularizing Limbo dance) and Joyce Kirton (Dance Educator & Folklorist).
